IATSE Local 835 is affiliated with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees  Motion Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crafts of the United States, its' Territories and Canada, AFL/CIO, CLC. The IATSE, or IA for short, represents over 150,000 members across North America.

In the most general of terms we are referred to as Stagehands. But that one word hardly does justice to the vast array of skilled craftsmen and craftswomen who are loyal IA members. The finest in Film, Television, Broadway Theater, Concerts, Corporate Meetings, Conventions and Trade shows in North America are produced by the work of IA members. In Orlando and throughout Central Florida, IATSE Local 835 operates a hiring hall to supply skilled professional convention and trade show workers to about 100 different companies. We conduct training and skills certification classes for our members several times each year in cooperation with our contracted employers. This joint effort of the Union and the companies allows us to say with confidence that we provide the most reliable, efficient crews . We also train our Union Stewards and Leads to provide the highest level of job site leadership possible.

We strive to maintain positive working relationships with the Show Managers, Exhibitors, Venues and Employers we deal with on a daily basis. We know that it's in everyone's best interest that your show run smoothly. The business and trade publications, our employers and clients regularly tell us we are the best in the industry. While we don't claim all the credit, the phenomenal growth of the Orlando trade show market is evidence that we know trade shows, and we do things right!
